No Limits - A poem dedicated to my Cl Mate Capt. MD Suresh

Are oceans truly endless or are they Bounded by shores and land that border? Is the universe truly boundless or is it only Our thoughts that have no limits or rudder? . There r limits to the knots a ship can run, And to what strongest of men can endure, Limits to the weaponry a ship can carry, But no limits to what the mind can conjure. . Nation's emergence out of the bondage inventiveness to take it to the summits When the state of the art is indigenous, Then self-reliance truly knows no limits. . When a strong will to excel and exceed meets men with tireless commitment, When flawless planning stands alongside, No limits truly for human achievement. . No limits for this azure expanse above, No limits for depth of one's knowledge, No limits indeed for human imagination, No limits for the one that has the edge. . No limits for this baby, indeed, no limits. No limits for this baby, indeed, no limits.

    No other word to describe it. Suresh should have this framed and fixed on the ship. He should do it.

The Grams’ Laws of execution (Strong Adult content Beware!!!)

Execution for us in India is always a challenge. We come up with the best of plans and designs and conjure up awesome things but fall woefully short, mostly in time to delivery or quality of the work. Oftentimes it is not necessarily for want of resources but of the deep execution DNA - the rigor, the micro detailing and passion for the "checklist" and structured reviews.... The title of this post may trigger thoughts of Aretha Franklin's classic number that arguably became the theme song of the American Feminist movement in the 60s. But we aren't far away from what I have in mind. But this is more about what happens to people in organisations. Read on.... Many of us, even though we refuse to accept, depend on our colleagues and subordinates to become successful. This is even more true when we come into a new organisation and are struggling to establish ourselves in the first few weeks. We will need specific help from our compatriots to get us started on the job or to show us the way in those incipient days. Many would expect our bosses to help but this seldom happens.
