Began as any day, plan of a jolly meet,
a lovely beach resort soaks in sun's rays,
A scenic mid morning drive for the group,
To sit around, reflect on bygone days.
.
So many reminisce about school, the
fond memories of friends and mates,
while others of teachers, the good ol'
days of yore, opening mind's sluice gates.
.
Not all good in those memories, the
years give a certain privilege to speak,
of the unspoken malice, words, and
acts dealt onto those that were meek.
.
Aspro, choicest remedy for all, only
side effects joy and very rarely a "kick".
Was it a twin brother that delivered it
or a stunt double that pulled that antic?
.
And there was another immortal one,
"Echoing" among all that were present,
Praise, not always, for this "white" man,
Eyes well up for the one that is absent.
.
The young seek more fun with seniors,
begin where other ends, a singing game,
that captures the Mighty spirit, don't let
it end but keep alive this KVMAA flame.
.
Then, arrival of "sprint queen of KVM",
accompanied by an entire entourage,
Many queue up to greet, after three
decades, this R mystique is no mirage.
.
After a sumptuous midday indulgence,
a ride back for some rest and a siesta....
A ride into the evening, as hills beckon,
for the Grand Finale of this fine Fiesta.
.
Evening to remember full of spirits
overflowing and doing Bacchus proud,
Mind rules of dance while you tiptoe,
to the bar, to join the tipsying crowd.
.
Naughty games, Captain now unfolds,
Watch, as with every fold, fun doubles,
Feet firm on ground, hold 'em tight, and
plan quickly for next of those cuddles.
.
Evening winds down, thoughts of an end
one sees, in the eyes of those gathered,
Valedictions for the dancing queen and
king, silently this loud night that withered.
.
Till next time, we all say, till next time,
And a next time there shall be, by Jove!
maybe never the same as the first, but
equal in Mighty spirit and unfiltered love.
.
My heart yearns for more of the same,
O! How it yearns for more n more n more....

Inner engineering - had heard so much about this program that I finally succumbed to my curiosity. Am also in a transition phase in my career and thought I had done so much of outer Engineering - Education, Networking, continuous learning of techniques and tools so felt it is time for some Inner Engineering. A three and a half day investment seemed quite appropriate as well at the Isha Centre in a scenic setting near Coimbatore. Here are some key learnings and insights for the ones interested….. First, it is a completely new journey into a realm that is beyond our normal logical, questioning mind. It calls for a leap of faith into a new dimension not easily explained by the axioms we are so familiar with in day to day life. However, it is done in a very "secular", non denominational, non-religious manner without pushing you too much. So well packaged and marketed in my view!! Second, it is an intense program both mentally and physically. You are in the program 24 hrs...
